At the end of this block of study, you should be able to:
Define Hydraulics.
Describe the Advantages of Hydraulic Systems over other systems for aircraft use.
Explain the Hydraulic System Principles of Operation.
Design Aircraft Hydraulic Systems.
Explain the uses of Hydraulic System valves.
Describe Boyle's law.
Identify the types of pressure regulators.
Explain the uses of pressure boosters in aircraft.
Though we use British units for our examples, SI units may be used as well to solve the problems. Conversion factors may be used to convert the results from British units to SI units.
